Activities
The central vision of Extended Services to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of every child also aims to raise educational standards for all children and to narrow the attainment gap for the most disadvantaged.
From music clubs to language groups, North Deeside Cluster schools continue to offer an eclectic range of activities and extra curricular groups for children to experience. The Cluster have funded various extra curricular projects over the last few years including Family Cookery Sessions, and additional sports groups for children across key holiday periods.
The Cluster's 'Summer Diversionary Scheme', which supports young people to access leisure activities in conjunction with Merseyside Police is in it's third year and has gone from strength to strength. The project will be running across each of the six week's during the summer holidays in 2011 and hopes to support up to 60 young people. The cluster is also funding an Open Access Play scheme for the third year running in West Kirby and a holiday club in Hoylake.
