Parenting

The Cluster commissioned a 'Parenting Support' project which is now in its second year and is proving extremely successful. Based on a working partnership with Catholic Children's Society and Extended Services, the project provides schools with a named support worker to assist parents with a range of issues they mat face. The project consisted of one-to-one support for parents accessing the 10 cluster schools, provided a Nurturing Programme course in the area and established of a Family Group in West Kirby which is thriving. The project in 2011 will add Family Group Meeting in the Hoylake and Meols area.

The Cluster also provides structured parenting programmes across the area as well as more informal opportunities for parents to engage with the school and other agencies. Family learning sessions have also been organised to allow children to learn with their parents and provide information for parents at the beginning of primary and secondary phases.
